My name is Ryan Towler and I am currently employed in the ACT Government in the 2019 Graduate Program. I am currently in my third and final rotation working in the ACT Emergency Services Agency's media team. 

 

I completed a Bachelor of Communication in Journalism with a Major in Communication Studies at the University of Canberra in 2017

I would like to further my career in the communications and media sectors, specialising in digital communication and social media.

​

I completed an internship at Screen Canberra, where I implemented and executed a social media strategy after the organisation rebranded earlier this year. I created and scheduled content for the organisation's social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram .

​

I have a passion for film and television, which helped me in my internship and has also led me to review films for Curieux Magazine and Now UC. I also have a passion for politics and history.

Throughout my experiences in my education and employment I have developed strong communication and analytical skills in the digital media. I have worked on various softwares such as Audacity, PremierePro, and Outwit Hub. I aspire to constantly learn and develop new skills to keep up to date with the ever changing nature of 21st century communication.
